Positive stories of getting induced?

I am currently 40+5, and have been 1cm dilated for the last 4 weeks.Today I had 3 cervical ripening gel treatments and after they caused 6 hours of contractions I have only dilated to 2cm. I am getting induced this Saturday and am very nervous. Just wanting to hear some positive stories and experiences with being induced. Thank you.

Omgh I had my son last year in march, on the 24th and I was also induced and let me tell you I had the best experience! Idk why many women talk so bad about it but it really isn't that bad. It didn't take me very long either. I started the process around 4:00pm and had him 11:17 that night! The best thing to do is when your having contractions try your very hardest not to tense up because it will push your baby up every time you tense. Its easier said then done but it really honestly helps. But don't be nervous if you have your loved ones there and a good hospital staff it will be a great experience:)

I started the process @ 10:30pm and slept through most of the contractions. I had an epidural when I was 7 centimeters, I believe it was around 10:00am. I wasn't 10 cm until around 11:50am. I pushed 3 times when it was time to go and had my son @ 12:34 pm. I had a pretty smooth experience. Contractions get uncomfortable but definitely not something that stands out to me from the whole experience.

I got induced with my son and although I dont have anything to compare it to pain wise I was able to do it pain med free. I didnt have any additional induction meds besides pitocin. Once the pitocin was stsrted it took about two hours for contractions to really start.  But from the time I stsrted the pitocin until he was born was about 14 hours.
