ftm.. just questions that come to mind

I've heard about people's hips widening after labor. Are there any ways or exercise anything to make them go back to how they were before pregnancy? And waist? Any ways to tighten waist back up or exercise that will help. I don't remember where but I read that after labor it's not good to do sit up to much. Any other helpful ways or are sit ups acceptable?  Sorry it's so long..

Sometimes there is nothing you can do about your hips widening and staying that way. I don't know of any ways to get them to go back, but I've never looked it up. But even if you do try, remember that your body will never be exactly the same as it was before

I used corsets. Check out Bellefit.com and their line of post-partum corsets. That's where I ordered mine.

Sorry it took so long to reply. So are the like waist trainers good to wear after labor? And when I said hips widening after labor I meant stayed widened. Cause a lot of other mom's I know their hips were so much wider after labor and stayed that way. So I guess I'm just asking of those span do work and if like corsets type would help? Or is it just kinda a natural thing if it goes back on it's own or stays?

Yes. Your body produces a hormone called relaxin that allows the connective tissue in your hips, pelvis, and rib cage to expand for pregnancy and delivery. The hormone remains in your body for a few weeks postpartum, and during that time, you can bind your body to encourage it to return to normal. It really does help. There are a lot of different products and techniques, but I just used spanx. I gained over 50 lbs with each of my first two babies, but afterward I was back in pre pregnancy jeans.

I've never heard of the hips widening after birth. They do it before. As of tightening the uterus the best way is breastfeeding. It helps heal your uterus fast. As of exercises you gotta ask your doctor because there is a certain healing process before you start and workouts.
