I received the injection when I had some minor bleeding. I was given the injection iny hip. I was told I would have it again before the baby was born.
I received the shot on my cervix. It wasn't bad at all.
I've had the shot before. I received the microgram but it was after a very unfortunate event. I was told with my blood being so ample with negative antibodies I'd receive the microgram which is 50 micrograms of rohgram then I'd receive my full shot after my 12 week mark. Which would be 150 micrograms.
I have had a miscarriage and am RH negative. I still wasn't given the shot until my 28 week appointment, but since you have had multiple miscarriages :-( maybe they'll give it earlier. My understanding is the reason they wait till 28 weeks is because the effects of rhogam only last 12 weeks and there is a risk of mixing blood in labor. If you have never had this shot, you will read horrible things about it on the Internet. I'm here to tell you, it wasn't that bad. Mine was given in my arm and did sting going in, but I felt no lingering pain afterwards.
