I know they say you need to wait 6 weeks after having your baby to have sex to be safe from infection. But lots of women say they have sex just 2 weeks after. I'm feeling GREAT. No pain. I had my baby 4 weeks ago today. Tomorrow's my hubbys birthday and we both wanna have sex. We didn't have sex my whole pregnancy once I hit about 22 weeks cause it was just uncomfortable for me. He'd wear a condom. I haven't done it cause you're suppose to wait 6 weeks but I really don't wanna wait 2 more weeks! I feel great. We haven't done it in SO long. And I'm sick & tired of pleasing him. It use to turn me on. Now I'm just sick of it cause it doesn't go anywhere. It use to lead to sex. Ugggh. Basically what's your ladies opinion on having sex 2 weeks earlier. I had 3 stitches.

I had the same problem with baby #1.  My gyno said 4 weeks -- very carefully if it didn't hurt.  My husband almost hugged him.  But check with your doc-- she'll probably give you the go ahead.

I would just consult your doctor honestly. Even if u feel comfortable, I would call just to double check. Better safe then sorry especially dealing with such a sensitive and important area. If u were to cause an infection cuss of two weeks u could end up waiting more. I'd personally be more reassured with a doctor signing off

If there's still spotting I'd wait...but to each their own.

No I'm not bleeding. Maybe a little spotting here and there but that's it.

And yes there is the possibility of infection if you are not fully healed, but just know your limits. If it's too sore then stop. Don't force yourself to keep going. You'll only make it worse.

Are you still having any bleeding? Because if you are then you're not fully healed.

In 3 days it'll be a month since I've had him. He was born May 6th. That's enough time for healing inside rightt ? Sorry. I know its up to me and I WANT to. I just can't get the risk of infection out of my head.

Well it's really up to you. If you feel up to it then go for it, but if you don't wanna risk getting pregnant again then use protection.
