Shaving TMI...

Have any mom's had a wax before giving birth. I'm 34 weeks and it's getting really hard to shave. For personal reasons I'm looking at getting a wax And wanted to see what expierences are.

Nair doesn't work for me.  I wax once a month.   Oh boy it hurts worse than the first time I waxed.

I like to see experienced women how have been doing it for decades.  Makes me feel more comfortable.

You lay on ur back and ur legs are in butterfly poistion (spread open with feet touching).  Its uncomfortable for me because I know how much its going to hurt. I recommend because you are pregnant only have them apply wax once because of how sensitive it is down there.

Okay ladies who have no used Nair. It is recommended that pregnant women don't use it. If you decide to it say to do a test spot for 24 hours to see how your skin reacts to it. Just in case your skin is too sensitive for it. That was my case before I was pregnant so I just don't use Nair.

I go to a waxing lady regularly. Make sure they use hard wax, it's much less painful. I don't like it when they use strips. I'm 33 weeks and I plan on getting it done one more time before the baby. I went around 25 weeks and it wasn't any more painful than before.

Nair is amazing at least for me it is, i use the shower spray and u leave it on for 5-10min depending how course the hair is and then you shower and the hair slides off soon as u wipe it with a washcloth.Shaving doesn't work well for me and i haven't tried waxing because of the pain

Just a question for the ladies who have used Nair. How well does it work? I'm only 22 weeks right now but is something that I would definitely consider being as I don't like hair anywhere as it is lol

I've never had a wax so I'm assuming you lay down with your legs open and they wax. I use to be embarrassed about it but think about it your OB or midwife that is delivering your baby is down there all the time. It's nothing they haven't seen before. It's the same with a beautician they see and wax vaginas all the time!

I had my last professional wax at 35 weeks
Was a bit more sensitive than normal but also got her to wax the annoying belly hair line that had appeared too.

I'm going professional wax, my belly is just too big to see to do it myself. I'm so nervous for a wax but they last longer and I think I'd be more comfortable with myself not having to worry about it the last month.

I'm glad I'm not the only weirdo who wanted to do this. But are you guys going to a professional or are you guys doing a home wax?

I regularly got waxed up until about 15 weeks. The skin down there is thinner and more sensitive during pregnancy and the lady I went to wasn't so gentle with me. I'm 31 weeks now but I plan on getting one more before delivery.
