Can you get tattoed while pregnant?
I know you can't but I always thought it was because your body could go into shock from the pain and harm your baby, I never thought about he healing process. I haveearn something new today :) lol
I asked my doctor about this and he said that he would only trust if I could prove it was sanitary. I asked him if it was safe to have my husband do it in our home because he is an artist and he said yes because he knows my husband wouldn't put me or our child in danger. However I won't do it because I'm afraid of a blood infection.
No don't do it . just wait till after baby comes.
Most people don't know. I didn't know until it came up I convo with my friend who was pregnant and wanted to finish her tattoo. Its not exactly a common knowledge before you get pregnant topic.
My Best friend Got a Tatoo On Her Stomach. She Was Only 7weeks And She Didn't Know She Wasn't Spouse To In till I Told Her. Lol
There's a high risk of ink poisoning and other dangerous diseases that could be contracted and harm the baby, that is why it's not ok to get tattoos while pregnant. And I do agree that there's no reason for the harsh comment.

There is no need for your preaching sweet heart .. Your talking in a way as if I knew it was harmful I would do it When ofc I wont if it's bad!!
No,your immunune system lowered during pregnancy therefore putting you at much higher risk to infection,no tattoo parlour will tattoo a pregnant woman

I got tattooed when I was in early pregnancy with my 1st, I didnt know I was pregnant yet. It was not my 1st tattoo so I knew how my body healed.. My tattoo bled for a week and took months to heal.. The shop was very clean and the artist was highly recommend in the area. No professional will tattoo a pregnant or breastfeeding woman. Iam lucky I did not get an infection from it taking forever to heal
@April211991 you dont have to be so rude about it she was just asking a question jeeze like your comment is a little harsh. No it can't kill your baby but the tattoo most likely wont heal properly and you can get lots of infection from it. Id like to remind you ladies this is a SUPPORT group and i dont think it was a dumb question. Im glad i haven't asked half the questions that have come to my mind some of you are just mean..

No. Any respectable/reputable tattoo artist won't tattoo you while pregnant.
