Swollen fingers, normal or not?

So I will be 36 weeks in a couple days and the past few days, almost a week I randomly look down and my fingers/hand will be the size of a balloon. Sometimes it's both hands and sometimes it's just one. Is this normal? It hasn't happened my whole pregnancy. My feet get swollen but never my hands.

And u know the funny thing...there's not much u can do for water retention, but they say that ironically the only way to reduce it is to drink more and more water.

I'm 37+4 and can't wear my wedding/engagement rings anymore because of my swollen fingers. :( I don't like not wearing them, but I don't want to worry about having to get them cut off if I'd need an emergency c-section!

It's about that time though, you're at the point where you going to retain water. If you haven't also had high blood pressure, I wouldn't stress :)

Yeah but what makes me worried is that it's so random. It hasn't happened my whole pregnancy, not once.

It's completely normal. Many pregnant women have to stop wearing rings because of the swelling.
