Okay every woman knows that pregnancy causes constipation.  I have stomach pain allllll the time I cramp hard all the time and finally was able to go a couple nights ago and lost 6.5lbs over night. Haven't gone again since but I continue to hurt very bad.my dr says I hurt from round ligament pain... somehow that doesn't make sense to me. Anyone had this problem?

I actually found out I was pregnant because I was so constipated it made me sick enough to have to go to the e.r.!! Atleast I knew it was for a good reason.. anyway, dr. prescribed me stool softeners, miralax and some sort of DISGUSTING laxative safe for pregnancy. It was in a glass bottle and was supposed to taste like sprite. Um no. Lol you should go to the dr and get something!!

Miralax saved my life! I was horrifically constipated to the point where I couldn't go for days on end and when I finally did it caused anal tearing and pretty bad bleeding so my doc had me taking a dose and a half a day until it got better then a dose a day after that to keep it from getting that bad.. Also milk of magnesia can be helpful to get things going and then miralax to keep it soft..

It's more likely both. My doctor told me any over the counter is okay to take.  Stool softener was not working for me. Milk of magnesia does though as long as you have healthy kidneys. I would recommend eating chewable fiber pills and taking coach twice a day and see how that helps.

I've been taking miralax or colace occasionally, they are both helpful. (They are in my list of safe options from the doctor.) If you go a few days without relief, it can definitely cause major stomach cramping. That said, the round ligament pain can hurt quite a lot too. You are probably feeling a little of both. Keep well hydrated. Good luck.

Are you allowed to take that while pregnant?  I mean I'll ask my Dr also but with my first son I don't remember having any actual pain until farther along in the pregnancy. So all of this so soon is terrible on top of throwing up 24/7.

I suffer from severe constipation it hurt so bad but i currently take miralax which has been a life saver. I have also suffered from round ligament pain around that time as well mines was kinda bad due to the fact im pregnant with twins it does however goes away
