We have a cradle that was made by my great grandad for me as a baby. We do have a crib but we most likely won't use it until she's too big for the cradle. My parents bought it for my hubby and I. If you're moving too, taking down the crib and everything is too much of a hassle.
Thanks guy for all the advice & suggestions!!!
I was thinking the same thing. And I decided to wait
I purchased a pack n play with removable napper (Graco) from walmart for no more than 130. Check it out you may think it will work for you.
I would say hold off because you'll have so much new baby stuff in the house anyway... Buuut...I gave birth to a giant 10 pounder and she was way too big for a bassinet by the time she was two months old so we had no choice but to get her the crib. I know everyone has different opinions on co-sleeping but I agree, probably not a good habit to get into as can be potentially dangerous and/or create a very clingy baby!
I think having a crib is great
If you have all that then hold off til you move. You can always use the pack n play if need be.
I have a bassinet & a pack n play as well , I wanted to get a crib that converts to toddler bed & day bed. But I am thinking of holding off. I want the baby to get used to sleeping in her own "crib". I know some parents that let their kids sleep with them & that's something that I don't want!
You can get a mini crib or bassinet
