I am a ftm too after 1 year plus of trying we are due May 12. I keep a journal and of course all the research, planning, designing has made it manageable. I have a few diy nursery projects, and just started looking into vaccines and cord blood.
We tried for six years as well and now I'm 20 weeks I still worry myself but as long as I see no blood I stay positive
Im at ftm and 14 weeks. I read about the growth of my baby between appts and write down all the questions i have. I try to do some research and keep my mind on all the positives that are happening :) and i always think if something isnt going as it should my dr is only a call away.
I focus more on keeping my anxiety disorders managed and under control than what all could go wrong. This is my first healthy pregnancy but my 5 pregnancy and I am just thankful that everything is OK and baby is healthy. I also have a child strive nurse that I see every other week which helps to.
I still get worried. But then I think, I'm not cramping or bleeding so things must be OK. Early on it's hard because you can't always hear the heart beat. Getting a Doppler will help ease some of that and once you start feeling movements it helps relieve a lot of that stress of worrying.
