witch hazel pads on my pad, peri bottle with warm water, and dermoplast pain relieving spray after every bathroom use. also ibuprofen every 6 hrs I am 6 days postpartum and feeling great and enjoyingy baby girl. good luck!
Following. I'm a ftm too and I'm interested to know as well.
Thanks ladies. I'll try these!
At the hospital I gave birth to my two girls gave me some pads that cooled it felt awesome maybe I can find them on line
The stuff I've read about those is putting witch hazel, aloe Vera, and lavender essential oil... You freeze them then take them out and thaw them for two minutes before use. I'm about to be ftm also and curious about these. Going to see how labor goes and make them if I need them when I get home.
I ment to say left it on not in lmao!
lol..I had to have an ice pack immediately after I delivered my son because I had to push for 2 hours. The nurse left it in for too long and it gave me frost bite. I had an epidural so I didn't know what was going on down there... so my tissues and my "C" we're numb and turned white! I was so scared! Everything luckily went back to normal after a few days but it was scarring for me..
I got the night time big pads and some witch hazel and poured some all over them and froze them. I didn't have to use them cause I wasn't sore after birth. But I heard good thing about this recipe
I haven't used them myself but I didn't have much swelling after the second day. The motrin they gave me at the hospital brought it down really quick. I just used some witch hazel mixed with warm water in a Peri bottle after every bathroom trip. About 1oz witch hazel to 7oz water.
I would check it out on Pinterest. There is one I saw a whole ago in the beginning of my pregnancy, that used a large pad and some cooling type cream. Pinterest has awesome ideas and information. I will be interested to see if anyone here has used anything like this as well.
