Vent.. Bad Timing

Next weekend I will be getting married and we were planning on the wedding before i got pregnant.  My problem is that I'm 22 weeks pregnant and showing A LOT.  Last month my dress fit perfectly and you could not see my bump I went back this week to have my dress altered and they are having to let out a sh**  ton. I felt so sad because  although I have not gained any weight my tummy is huge and I feel like I wont be as pretty as I planned for my wedding day. I had already bought the dress before I became pregnant so i could not get a refund and i doubt i will fit in it after Dayton is born that's why we kept the wedding date. If i was a month less along it would be perfect. I love my son so please don't get the wrong idea. I guess I'm just emotional. I feel fat and ugly and worry about how the pictures will look. I always imagined myself looking stunning for my wedding and now I feel like a cow.  I do not know what to do, i should be happy and excited for the wedding and all I feel is self conscious and worried...

I'm usually very strong and so seeing me cry is sending my soon to be husband for a loop lol. I did get a beautiful reception dress to wear its light and flexible and shows off my baby bump in a flattering way so it makes me feel beautiful and pregnant.  I think the reason why is i still have the image of how i looked when i first tried  the wedding  dress on in my head and it  is just eating at me lol. Cause everything else i try on I'm like oh dang look at me and my baby bump and i love how it looks ... guess I'm being weird....

Also if your only worried about the pictures, they have software where they could make you not even look pregnant. Congrats on getting married by the way!

What if you added some thing to your dress to make it less noticeable? Like frilly materiel around your stomach area. Wedding dress designers are awesome and I'm sure if you take it to the place you bought it, they could come up with some thing. :)

The dress is a corset back and very elegant with a small amount of beading adding a sash wouldn't look right but  that's a good idea  thank you. And my photographer is my cousin so i should be able to talk to him about it   :)

Congrats on the baby and the wedding. Every bride needs to feel beautiful on her wedding day. Tell you fiance how you feel so he knows in advance to make you feel extra special. Most men don't realize the toll baby take on us girls physically or emotionally.  I am sure you are a very confident person but sometimes we all need reassuring.

I don't know the style of your dress but have you though of maybe adding a sash or ribbon to help accentuate your baby bump? It may help you feel better if it's clearly defined as opposed to just blending in with your dress. Either way it's your wedding day and although you may not feel your best, everyone there is going to think you look stunning. Also let your photographer know your concerns and they can help pose you for pictures in ways that will accent the good parts and hide what you are less comfortable with.
