My 4 year old son was born at 35 weeks due to medical issues amd he didn't spend any time in the nicu. They never gave me the steriods for his lungs and they at first told me he would have to go in there for a week or more depending on how well he does. I have all faith that ur baby to would be fine with the steriods. I'm not sure ur laws as idk where u live however where I live babys can come home only weighting 4 lbs.

I went through the exact same think at 31 weeks too. I actually ended up going backward from 3cm to 1cm within 1week. I am now 36 weeks or 35 according to the first sonogram. And I just hit 2cm a few days ago. So you could very possibly make it to your due date, or at least to a safer week to deliver, or you could still go into early labor. Either way, your baby should be just fine. Babies born at 31 weeks usually don't take too long to recover. The NICU Dr. Told me that the baby will probably only have to stay two weeks or less if he was born at 31. So I wouldn't worry about it sweetie
