Weeks ???

if the doctor tells you your six weeks pregnant at the age of the fetus or  your whole pregnancy? I'm a bit  confused about it.

I had A miscarriage in December on the 15th 2014. I never really got a normal. I spotted for two days very lightly on January 15 and then in February nothing so with that count as a menstrual cycle.? Even though this is my fourth pregnancy I'm still so confused on everything because I always miscarried before the end of my third trimester.

6 weeks is counting from the first day of your last period. Age of fetus is more difficult to determine because you can't always exactly determine day of conception. If you know when about you did ovulate you could count from that to determine fetus age but they will always go by last period for pregnancy maturity.

Technically fetus age is 2 weeks shorter than pregnancy age bc they start counting pregnancy age from ur last period and count fetus age from ovulation so if u are 8 weeks pregnant ur fetus age is 6 weeks

It is both. It is how far along you are in your entire pregnancy and the age of the baby if you were to check out baby gestation at 6 weeks.
