Weight.

Is there anyone else who has gained more then 20lbs? I see on here all the time people talking about excessive weight gain, and yadda yadda, but all they've gained is like 10-30 pounds and they're in their 30th week.

I've gained atleast 60, and believe I will have 70 by the end. If not more. Is there anyone else who has gained weight over recommendation?

My body has been holding everything, my whole pregnancy. I am 35/5 and at first I cared a lot, so much I cried at each and every visit and it ruined my day. But not anymore. Screw it. What's the point? My baby is healthy, I am healthy with no issues as of right now and she will be here soon. Luckily I don't have any issues with the amount of weight I have gained. I am very thankful.

I just want to know I'm not the ONLY ONE.
I'm not complaining about my weight gain, just looking for others (:

I gained 65-70 lbs each with my last pregnancies. I think some women are just more prone to gain the extra weight. I'm about on that track right now as well with weight gain this time. It ***** since I lost about 50 lbs before I got pregnant but oh well lol. I'll just work twice as hard to lose it all again.

Before pregnancy I was stressed and gained 20 -30 lbs I'm 5 feet I was 140 -150 then I got pregnant I was 156 now I'm 16 weeks I'm at 167 and my ob said I gained 5 lbs in 4 weeks. She thought it was too much and I should exercise 30 mind in the morning and 30 mind in the evening. I couldn't exercise before I was so sick and tired all the time. I guess just eating healthy and staying healthy and for baby to be healthy is all that matters. Right now  trying to shake off having protein in my urine and keeping my sugar levels stable. Good luck to you

Just close your eyes if you aren't happy about it! I finally just got to a point where I knew, it is what it is and it's going to be that way until a little after birth.  You aren't the only one and I think it is very important everyone knows that!

Closing my eyes allowed to have a good visit, have a good day, good days after, and I ate without feeling like garbage and without crying every five minutes after leaving my visit! It's okay, and I think it's important we all know that it is in fact okay.

Ginabobinaaa - I think it is totally unfair of your husband to put that type of pressure on you. Who DOESNT want to stay. "Normal size"? I mean seriously. If you can't help it, you can't help it. He has no idea what it's like to be pregnant, without his added unnessiccary pressure, you already have a load on your shoulders. I think you should tell him to eat it. Don't allow him to put that type of pressure on you, we already have enough. And without the pressure you will gain, with the pressure I would imagine you would gain also. It's ridiculous of him to expect that of you. Enjoy yourself! Seriously, enjoy yourself and tell him to eat it!

Ah! I'm so glad to know I am not alone, because you definitely feel like you are o.O I too am over 200 pounds. This is the most I have ever ever ever weighed in my life. But I believe most women who get pregnant say that all the time! It just happens and it's okay! We should be able to feel okay about it, without our partners having s.h.i.t to say about it.

Im almost 13w and gained 10lbs! I'm 5'8", weighed 140 before pregnancy. Super sad about it, seeing as I gained it all last week! It's the most I've ever weighed. I'm trying not to stress on it as I know when summer comes ill be more active,  but its kinda depressing at the moment. My hubby really wants to me stay 'normal' size..and well so do I. Its good motivation for me, but it makes me stress a titch more. I'm trying very hard to enjoy this pregnancy,  I think ill feel better when I at least have a bump. :'(

I have heard that with bigger women, like my aunt, that you don't gain very much weight. I think it is because you have a faster metabolism while pregnant. Don't quote me on that, i just think that.

Exactly! I let it take a lot out of me for atleast three months. It took my enjoyment and f.u.c.k that (: this is such an important time and I just couldn't face gaining weight period! But it is inevitable. For some lol. And it is expected. As long as I am healthy and most importantly my daughter is, that's it. That's all that means anything.

With my first pregnancy i only gain 25lbs. But i was only 16 then, not sure if that has anything to do with it. This pregnancy ive gained 35. But these last 3 weeks ive been at 166, i havent gained or lost any weight. Everyone is different, just like you said if your healthy and baby is healthy who cares.

I say it's my baby too! Lmao. I'm like "five pounds this week? She's eight" lol. I don't think I will be having a small baby in general, but won't know until she is here of course.

I was always always a steady weight, before I got pregnant I was 150-160 steadily. Once I got pregnant it just changed drastically. The every month visits were my HARDEST visits. Once it hit every two weeks, it got a little easier for me. Now that I'm on my last two week and will be going every week soon, my weight gain has certainly slowed down tremendously. I've heard some people gain weight at the beginning and slow down towards the end, and let's face it with pregnancy all "known facts" just aren't really known facts anymore lol, but I think I agree with that statement. It's seemed to happen with me anyways. I also used to close my eyes at each appointment. When I added up to 45 pounds one time sense I became pregnant to then, I closed my eyes she they weighed me because it made me so unhappy. Now I'm thankful for that 2-4 pounds I've luckily only gained lol.

I also believe my weight gain happened so quickly because I used to smoke cigarettes and weed, and obviously no longer do. So I like to blame it on that as well lol.

I know it is difficult, for any woman period to gain weight. But embrace this, because what happens in the next nine months or however long you guys have, it will be over and once you get into a routine and figure things out with the baby, it's your decision to take care of it. We will be chasing them around eventually. Don't allow it to take away your joy during your pregnancy. This is beautiful, and so are you!

I am 24 weeks and have gained 40lb.
I'm 5'5", 30 years old and weighted 130lb before pregnancy. I always ate well, but after I got pregnant the pounds just packed on. There was a week where I gained 10lb. Hoping the weight gain will slow down, but it may run in the family.
My mom is this tiny thing and said she gained about 60lb during her pregnancy,  and lost it really quickly. Hope the same will happen to me. I trying not to worry much, because it takes some pleasure away from enjoying my bump.
