Sushi?!?!

Hi Ladies! I'm 12 weeks pregnant, and unfortunately one of my more recent cravings had been sushi rolls- usually salmon. I couldn't bare it last week, and hubby talked me into it (pre-pregnancy we went on sushi date nights weekly) anyway, I had a cooked roll, and it wasent the same.. I'm sure pregnant woman of Japan live off sushi and they are fine; I'm just curious what your opinions are?? I asked my doc and he laughed, told me I can eat my sushi, just not more than once every 2 weeks and that your more likely to get listeria bacteria from fruit like cantalope?!

I think sometimes people go seriously overboard..i mean there is pretty much equal chance of you get into a car accident and have miscarriage like that than from listeria and stuff.food is super checked now and as long that it has been been refrigerate properly u ll be fine.i m eating cold meats as well i just buy pre packed once so i know that they havent been exposed all day like it happened in the deli

My last pregnancy last year I done nothing but eat salmon. My doctor told me to stay away from shell fish. But I had salmon so much and my little boy was born perfect. He was 9lbs though. Now I'm 6 weeks pregnant again and eating fish AGAIN. X
