I did. She said I need to take everything with me.
Try to take a tour of the hospital so you'll get a better idea of what they have. You could ask your Dr midwife or nursing staff within your ob office because it must be different in the UK. I'm in the US and they provide so much especially for the baby.
Thebump.com had a good list on their site.
That must be the difference. I am in the US

Annarybarczyk where are you located? They do about 24 hours here unless you are prone to something. Like they will keep me at least 2 days because I tend to hemorrhage after delivery.
I think it depends from hospital and from the staff that are on shift. Years ago they was kipping u in for a week but now they send you home as soon as they can. MY friends girl had a c section and they send her home when she was in such a pain and could not move and had to go when she didn't want to. I personally would want to come back home as son as I can as I would of feel really bad In hospital. I also trying to have my bf staying with me when I'm in there but they said he might not be able and it's really upsetting me as I know I won't talk to other mums there and might feel a bit down and depressed on my own :( so I'm hoping there will be space to have him with me!! Can't wait to go in labour but I'm so scared
Omg! I would bring everything and take nothing from my hospital if they let me choose when I got to come home. I just had number five 11 months ago and I felt they were keeping me hostage lol. Wishing you the best. You probably don't recognize my post because I have to keep removing this app because it has been glitchy. I recommended the bathing suit with snaps on the bottom. Wishing all the best for you (:
Well I was told it depends from how you feel after delivery and how did you delivered. If everything is fine they usually keep you over night but let you go next day. After c section it's about 2-3 days I'm not sure now. But my bid wife told me they ask you if you feel ready to go home and if not they keep u in. She also said I have to bring everything for a baby so don't think they provide ( maybe they do if you would forget them) can use charger as it might be faulty and blow use the fuses I guess or something like that (don't remember what exactly she said) and no didn't had a chance go any shops so didn't really look yet. Don't want to order online as I'm not sure the size and I'm a bit picky with things lol. . Thanks for asking!! :) hope u ok xx
I am fascinated by how different things are where you are. How long do you need to stay in the hospital? It's 24 hours after delivery here. Our hospital allows chargers and provides diapers and wipes also toiletries for mom and baby. Did you find a skirt yet?
So far I packed baby outfits diapers and wipes and the bag it's so full lol! I was told I can have phone but can't charge it so taking like a laptop would be useless :( plus I don't think I will have time to use it once baby comes lol....
List not lost and so not should...stinking phone! Sorry
I had two bags. One with dice and a note book and cards and snacks. Also contained my cell charger and camera. Now the big list... Two pairs of socks, nursing bra, yoga or sweat pants, nursing shirt, hair brush and ties, face wash and soap (hospital provides but my skin is too sensitive to use any but my own) shampoo and conditioner. A heavier blanket for baby, baby's hospital outfit and baby's going home outfit. If you have a specific pacifier and also a specific baby wash and lotion you should pack that for baby's first bath. I took a lost with names on it should I wouldn't forget to call any one and let them know of baby's arrival.
Looks like I'm gonna have 3 bags with me. One for baby one for me and one for food :)
For me I pack tanks and sweats, brush, all personal hygiene items, they will provide pads, panties, a robe, slippers, snacks (it is much easier to have your own believe me). For baby hand covers, a couple onesies and a couple sleepers and her special blanket.

I tok about five to six outfits...and if ur planing on breastfeedin or pumping bring ur pump...also bring comfy clothes for u as well that u wouldnt mind if they got bloody u could bring wipes and diapers but they provide it for u at the hospital as well as formula if thats how u chose to feed ur little one..blankets they usually provide but if u have a special one u can bring it too...if u have pets like a cat and or a dog makes sure someone brings a blanket home that the baby was wrapped in and leave it on the floor so the pets can get accustom to the babys smell before ur bring the baby home
