Why do most people on here want to induce

I'm just asking a question I don't want anyone getting mad I just don't get why people want to induce early. I understand that some women are in alot of pain and discomfort but when u choose to get pregnant or choose to keep baby if it was a  surprise you kinda should of known what you were in for. Again just my opinion why can't we just let baby come when they are ready and only think of induction as a last resort.

I completely agree! I would have to say 6 kidney infections, heart condition, severe weight loss, severe vomiting every day. Would be a good reason. I'm 24 weeks and have lost 35 pounds even though he is about 2 pounds I  still loosing. My kidneys are now shutting down and my right kidney is 2 times larger than my left one. My heart skips a few beats then tries to make up for it by doing 190 and taking 30 minutes to slow down to 120.. but through all this pain my baby is perfectly healthy other than a white spot on his heart and him trying to come now.. people are saying I'm too small to push a baby out without bleeding to death.. and if he goes to full term it'll be harder. They've already talked about doing an emergency c section at 26 weeks but have decided not to.. so now we wait... I hate pregnancy though and I just want to be healthy and have my healthy baby..

Also inducing when overdue is different as well as the placenta starts to weaken but any earlier than your actual due date for anything other than health reasons is crazy. And being uncomfortable is not a health reason.

Obviously if its for health reasons i dont blame anyone but if its just because its so selfish. :)

I've been about two weeks overdue with both my labors so far, induced at 14 days over with my second. I would rather go into labor naturally obviously, but my induction was a positive experience. I also don't understand this idea that induction should happen before you're even due.

Thank you ive been wondering the same thing. The baby will come when its ready at its best time. I dont know why women think that when they hit the 36 week or 37 week mark that all of a sudden its time to get baby out. Theyve recently changed full term to being 39 weeks and there is a good reason for that. Dont get me wrong im sure heaps of babies come before that and theyre fine but youre only pregnant a few times in your life and for babies health and safety why not let it come when its supposed to. As nature intends? Im so glad someone else thinks the same. :)

Yeah I completely agree there. If you're just doing it just to get through pregnancy faster it's selfish...and thank you! :)

I completely understand for health reasons I'm not against I'd wanna be induced if we were any kind of harm to  but there's people that are willing to risk making themselves or there baby sick just to make them come and idk why but it makes me sad lol. And don't worry u and baby will be healthy and happy good luck :)

I want to be induced early for my health. However baby boy wants to come now at 24 weeks and we(doctors, me, family, husband) want him to wait another 10 weeks at the least. Unfortunately he will come whenever he wants. However as awful as it sounds for my health I'd be happy with him coming at 35 weeks. I say that only bc everyone including doctors are very worried about me making it through labor alive... :/
