Why do people think that if your baby moves

It means it likes whatever you just ate or what music you are playing?  Maybe they just felt like moving right then?  Maybe they are actually irritated by it?  Is there really any reason to think it means they like whatever it is?

I asked my husband the same question a couple days ago, because I was wondering if my baby likes cold drinks or hates them.  He moves a lot when I drink something cold, but I have no way of knowing if I am doing something he likes or annoying the crap out of him.  I wish there was a way to know for sure.

As far as food goes, the baby doesn't "like" any certain food. The baby does not taste food. They simply recieve all the nutrients their little bodies need from whatever you're eating.

As far as sound and/or music, I think this is different. The baby responds to certain things: light, movement, physical activity, etc. I don't know if it necessarily means they "like" it. It maybe just be a pure reaction without justification or they actually do like whatever they are sensing. That is truly unknown.

With my first pregnancy my daughter never moved.  However, when my bf would come to visit us, he would always sing n talk to my tummy. The baby would always kick and move around for her daddy.

My baby definitely moves when I play certain music. For her. I can be playing one song and she goes crazy, then I can put something else on and she stops. She also moves every single time I eat a roast dinner, so yeah, she likes that. She also moves every single time daddy talks to her and kisses my belly

They are really just trying to get comfortable. Walking around moves them so they move to try to get back to that comfortable spot in your belly. Not sure about if they enjoy certain things never heard of that
