Work Time Off?

So, if I am due Feb 1st when should I request my day off? I hate to be out of work because disability will only pay a fraction of what I make,  but I  thinking of working until my water breaks in the office.. anyone have any thoughts?

My due date was 12/31 & I originally planned to work until Xmas eve. I shared the same feeling as u w/ not wanting to take time off too early due to only getting a fraction of my pay on SDI. I was getting really tired quickly tho so I gave into what my body was telling me. I told my boss I was gonna start my leave on 12/12. Turned out my water broke earlier than that. I had my baby on 12/8 & started maternity leave then. My suggestion to u is to listen to ur body. I had some pretty early signs that she was coming early & took those signs as a hint. Hope this helps!

As for me with my first pregnancy I worked until my water broke. It actually broke on my night off and that's when I took my leave. You can wait until u get a little closer. Its your choice. Its risky so be careful.

I plan on working until a day or so before I deliver, (I am having a c-section) however, my body is already telling me it hurts after 8 hours on my feet so I pray I can last. 9 more weeks to go

I'm due Dec 26th and took leave Dec 1st. My doctor will only let you off 4 weeks early unless there is a problem. I work in a warehouse and worked until I just couldn't anymore.
