I left 11 weeks before my due date it was the earliest I could leave. as I had nothing prepared I wanted to make sure I had plenty of time with out feeling rushed x
It's very much personal preference and how heathy your pregnancy is. I worked untill I went into labor.
Most women work until they physically can't anymore. Depending on your job, if you leave for a medical reason, they'll put you on unpaid maternity leave early.
If you're just wanting to quit work then quit if you can financially handle it.
I'm leaving at 37 weeks, it's when you're considered full term and it's also the last day of January for me so the timing just lined up right. That way I'm not at home for too long before my due date but I do give myself a bit of time. I know how you feel, I'm almost 7 months and I thought about this for a long time. Finally told my boss yesterday so it's official. Can't wait lol
I worked up until the day my water broke with my first and I plan to do the same with this one. But to each their own. I have absolutely nothing for this baby but if I don't work I won't get paid while I'm off
I was a carer in a home for older disabled residential people so it was all heavy lifting and dodging punches but like the lady above said when you feel ready to go go. I would do a 14 hour shift and when I was getting the las resident in to bed I would start by walking up the stairs and by the time I made it to the top I would be on my knees done for the evening. My manager used to think it was hilarious "watching my batteries run out climbing the stairs on the cctv" is what he would say.
My first pregnancy I left at 32 weeks. 2nd pregnancy I left at 38 weeks. This pregnancy I plan to go 38 weeks again.
