I found out I was pregnant two weeks after I started a new job and told them at 16w when I told the rest of the world. My boss said he appreciated knowing early. I got insurance through my work so I don't know about that part.
No, they verify your income first thing.

My friend told me that if you weren't offered insurance then they overlooked income and still gave a medical card. I'm in WV. That didn't sound right to me which is why I wanted to ask. I have a medical card for now but am incredibly concerned about what is going to happen if I start this job and am not offered insurance through the company.
@eesscott how far along were you when you found out you were pregnant?
I've been at my job for 2 years. I have insurance through work and medicaid. In told my boss at 9 weeks.

I have been with my local government job for 2 1/2 years, but recently got promoted and one week later, I found out I was pregnant. I told my new supervisor when I was 8 weeks along. I get health insurance through my employer so I do not know much about medical. I know in Califonia, they do offer pregnancy medical for those who do not have insurance while pregnant.
Well hopefully it's the same here. I'm not sure how to find that out. I guess Google will take me somewhere lol. I'm nervous about starting somewhere pregnant but I was unaware when I applied and everything. I guess I'll wait and tell them when I do everyone else as the first person said.
Check your states medical website.
I was already working at my job for years before i found out.
I pay for health insurance thru my job.
I told them around 8 weeks because i can't keep secrets well lol
As for medical insurance i think it's based on your income regardless but I'm not sure
