Worried of allergic reaction?

I'm almost 7 weeks pregnant. I'm sick & have a sore throat & got prescribed Amoxcillian the syrup version of it because I have trouble swallowing pills. Anyways I have tooken it more than twice before in my life and I have never had a allergic reaction to it or anything at all ever except latex. Lately I've been having some anxiety about taking medicine even just antibiotics and I don't know why. I keep reading the allergic reactions that are rare but you could have and I took my first dose last night and got all anxious and workes up thinking something was going to happen. What are the chances of someone actually getting an allergic reaction and how fast would it happen. I haven't tooken my second dose yet because I'm worrying. Thanks for the answers.

An allergic reaction to penicillin is usually just a widespread itchy rash that develops within an hour or so of taking the dose.... Even if you were to have a reaction you could just call your Dr and they'd switch the med. The rash is in no way harmful to the baby. Its far more risky to not take the antibiotics as an infection can lead to problems in the pregnancy

If your not allergic to penicillin then your fine. If you have never been allergic to penicillin then your fine. I'm pretty sure your not going to have a reaction.
