Worried!

Hello! I am 15 weeks along in my first pregnancy and am getting quite worried! I am still waiting for my insurance to process and it is taking forever! I went to a Christian clinic at 9 weeks and they did a free ultrasound and she said the baby looked very healthy but I haven't been able to get a doctor since then. Everyone keeps worrying me saying I'm too far along to have not seen a doctor yet. I have been trying but this insurance thing is becoming quite frustrating. I am worried about the heath of my baby! I want to make sure I'm doing everything I can in the meantime. Help please!

AND BTW.. some doctors will see you if you know FOR A FACT you're going to be getting health insurance. As long as you have that months insurance card you'll be fine. That's what I had to do. You just give it to them you're next appointment. I'd call & ask.

I didn't get to see a doctor until about 24 weeks (maybe 20) I applied for state insurance and didn't get it until a month after applying. As long as you eat right, and take your prenatals (you can get at walmart, cvs, ect you don't need a prescription) you should be fine. I was perfectly ok and so was baby my first check up & ultrasound.

That's what I would do too.  You already got a scan done so you know the baby is ok.  Get some prenatal vitamins and eat right.  Make sure you drink lots of water and fluids too.  Make an apt as soon as you can...other than that don't stress!!

Don't freak out. I didn't get into the doctor until 20 weeks and my baby is perfectly healthy. Just be sure to eat right, and take your pre natal vitamins with DHA or a separate pre natal DHA vitamin with the pre natal and you should be fine. I freaked out about the same thing, and it all turned out to be just fine. Good luck!

Have you tried to sign up for any government assistance?

I WOULD JUST MAKE SURE YOU EAT RIGHT AND BUY SOME OTC PRENATAL VITAMINS UNTIL UR INS. ALLOWS YOU TO SEE A DOC. GOOD LUCK!!
