a friend told me spicy food while pregnant is bad for baby

And I disagree, I said it was fine but it might give heart burn and she said it was bad cuz it hurt the baby in some way and she saw it first hand,
I don't believe something like hot cheetos with tapatio can somehow hurt the baby or change him in any bad way physically or mentally while in womb

Has anyone ever heard of this being true????

My husband would get so mad when I would eat spicy foods because he though like your friend. So at one of our doctor appointments I asked my OB and she said they're just myths. Spicy foods while pregnant CANNOT harm the baby. They could give you heart burn (which I have NEVER had during this pregnancy thank God) and I eat a lot of spicy food. Like breakfast lunch and dinner with Tapatio! When breastfeeding though, it can give the baby colic. But while you're pregnant enjoy it

Nope. You only can get heart burn. No affect to baby what so ever.
