acrylic nails

I'm 26 weeks pregnant and I would love to get my nails done. Preferably with acrylic. My nails aren't growing nor are they staying strong even with taking my prenatal Virginians religiously. If I were to get acrylic would this be safe for my baby? Pls help with helpful comments.

The chances are very very low that it could harm your baby but there is a chance. Anything you ingest your baby is getting also. Just keep that in mind :) my doctor said, as a DR, he would recommend staying out of salons period as they are full of chemicals. As a result, I have no nails, grey hair and roots but easily tolerable untill baby is born :)

Totally okay. I would wear a mask seeing as any mail or acrylic partials that get shaved off can get into your respiratory system and might affect your little one. And don't be afraid to use those nail! Your baby is becoming more aware of their surroundings. My little one loves it when I would tickle my belly with my fake nails. It's also a good way to wake them up, get them moving and get them use to a specific sleep schedule. Hope this helps!

I just got acrylics done a couple days ago. You're fine. Just be aware of fumes.

I still get acrylics done and I'm 37 weeks. The trained nail techs learn things like that and if they see danger in it they should tell you at the salon. All I know is done salons don't do pregnant women's pedicures. I think you're fine.
