answer?

does an epidural hurt?? ... im about to get into labor?

Yes they hurt. I would never get one unless it was absolutely necessary for my baby. That's just my opinion though.

I didn't feel a thing but then again everyone is different. I'm praying for same result this time around .

I didn't feel mine I was in the middle of horrible contractions lol so even if it did I knew it would takethat pain away.

Nope did not hurt at all. Still felt the pushing...that hurt.

But I did not feel the contractions. Nothing wrong with getting an epidural if ypu feel like you want it

I was having contractions when I had my epidural in so honestly I didn't even pay attention to that 10 inch needle going in my back lol jk but seriously it's either a pinch that burns for two seconds or horrible contractions til your done.

It hurts less than taking the blood out. I never got epidural for labor, but i did get epidural for some other surgeries. It may seem as a big needle, but its actually thinner than what they use to take your blood out. It feels like a mosqiuto bite or even less than that.

Its more of a pressure pinch and a bit of stinging feeling when the med is injectec, after that you dont feel a thing. Wishing u a safe  delivery.
