anyone take benadryl with pregnancy?

I have never taken benadryl during a pregnancy before but before this pregnancy i had learned that i had been diagnosed with ic in the bladder..(super painful) ! I moved so new doctors and dont have a urologist yet to ask how woman deal with it in pregnancy and i do know that benadryl helped before becoming pregnant when needed as well as some crazy allergies. I've read some conflicting tips on benadryl and pregnancy and didn't read too many negative things. I was wondering if anyone has had personal experience with it? Thanks in advance!

Yes my ob/gyn even said that benadryl is perfectly fine to take during pregnancy. I'm 32+5 and my baby is perfectly healthy. I know it helps me with sleep problems and allergies so I wouldn't say it's harmful at all. Good luck to all you ladies.

Yes they think I can make it till 32 weeks. So 6 more weeks hopefully! My contractions did get a lot stronger and he's gotten a lot lower. And I have triple the amount of discharge and I'm not able to feel him move as much. I personally think it'll happen maybe in 4 weeks but we will see...

I have a heart problem and I went to the er one night bc my heart wouldn't slow down(got up to 198). I started seizing passing out baby's heart rate went up to 187. The only thing they were allowed to give me was a shot of benedryl. It made me feel so high but so calm with my heart! I went home a few hours later and was able to eat and actually function. However it didnt make me sleepy at all so i was up for about another 10 hours after that..Now every time my heart is acting up and won't stop I take 2 benedryl.

Thanks bondsmommy! I am having a boy we are naming Macklin. Taili, I agree u get an amazing sleep that night minus the times I am up to go to the bathroom lol. I just hate the groggy feeling the next day

I have gotten super bad allergies with this pregnancy and The benedryl does help. I've taken It since The end of first trimester and now I'm 30 weeks as of today and my baby girl Is healthy and super active. Benedryl Also gives me The best sleep ever. So When I'm exhausted I take It and known out For The night and always wake up feeling much better!

I've taken benadryl during my pregnancy for allergies/cold symptoms and sometimes just to help me sleep if I'm having a bad/painful day. My Dr says it is ok to take. I am 33+2 now with a healthy baby
