Yhea get a lawyer they'll tske care of it, or dhs .
I would call the court house and ask someone what to do exactly all i know is he has to sign his writes away. And u need to get some kind of paperwork wrote up. My friend had to do it with her babys father.
OK so I just leave the certificate blank and do I file petition with court for relinquish
they wont push im ontthe birth certificte unless hhe is there and signs paprr work saying he is the father. The hospital told me and my boyfriend that because so mime people are put on birth certificates and its hard to get ur name off if ur not the father. U need to have paper work wrote up saying he is giving up his rights to that child and he needs to sign it and then file them with the courts
My son is 4 and his (sd) wanted nothing to do with him. Inn my state a parent with no contact loses all rights in a yr. I didn't do anything just in case something happen to the sd my son could benefit from his military. My son is 4 now and he has no rights to him. I would contact dhs and ask them. If he wants nothing to do with the baby I wouldn't seek child support. He will have rights and might not treat your baby right.
What if I do not list him on birth certificate
I understand that but if he doesn't want to b involved....iI doubt he will pay support... I'mccurrently going thru that now with dd #1...its been months n still haven'tseen a penny.
I'm sure child services can help you out. You might also want to contact a family lawyer. You do realize that if you terminate his rights, you won't be able to collect child support from him. You might want to think about that.
