baby Sprinkle - need advice

we have already known that we're not going to be getting a baby shower since this is baby number 2. I already have a 6 year old boy, and this is my fiance's first child and it's a girl so our friends at the last moment decided to throw us a sprinkle. because it was a surprise and a last minute thing I've already spent a lot of time bargain shopping and I've been donated a lot of clothing so as far as "Stuff" we are all set and I can't think of anything else that we would need. we're planning on doing EC and cloth diapering. Plus I'm not a fan of excessive "stuff" anyways. We don't have the space! I'm looking at this as a wonderful opportunity to get together with our beloved friends and celebrate the new baby and I would like to keep it at that however I'm certain that they really want to get us some gifts.
They would like an idea of what to buy but I litterally have no clue?!
Any ideas of what I could ask for?? We really do have a lot of outfits already.. I could try and say no gifts needed but it won't fly. I would hate for somebody to spend their money on something that we already have or need to return. Idk should I let it go and have ppl do what they want? They are expecting a registry of some sort.

I love the idea of starting a college fund! I wish I'd thought of that with either of my kidsm

You could ask for cloth diaper accessories, cloth wipes, diaper wet bags, disposable diaper liners, a diaper sprayer for rinsing diapers, a diaper pail, etc. We have a 15 month old and have about 20 insert pocket cloth diapers and they last us about 4 days and thats with using some disposables when were out or shes at a sitters. Its a day process to wash and dry them so if you dont have more than 20, get more! Also, a drying rack comes in handy for the ones you cant dry with heat or theyll get ruined. Good luck!

Or start a savings account for the baby, let them donate to the college fund!

Yea I think asking for gift cards would be a good way to.go in case you need anything in the future.

I meant return the items for gift cards. If you register at a very kid friendly store should be easy!

Just get gift cards and you could use them for other things and donate to toys for tots or some other organization :)

Gift cards, clothes in larger sizes, children's books, toys, toiletries, diaper covers, extra sheets for crib/bassinet, baby dvds/music, extra pacifiers/bottle accessories, room decor, gift cards for date nights after baby, hair bows, etc...

If you literally don't need anything, ask them to donate to your favorite charity on behalf of the baby

I would definitely just ask for cloth diapers if you haven't built your stash up yet! There's no such thing as too many diapers!  :) Just let them know what brand/style of diapers you're using!

Gift cards, extra diapers and toiletries are all good ideas. If you don't have one already, I recommend a mirror for your car so you can see baby while you're driving, a seat protector to go under your car seat, a window shade for the car, and pads to go over the car seat straps. You could also ask for clothes in bigger sizes. After the first year, if not before, you won't be getting gifts anymore and it starts to get expensive buying clothes and shoes. I had a lot given to me for my first, but nothing bigger than 24mos and I ended up with far more smaller sizes than I could ever use. I wish some of the folks that bought new had bought bigger sizes or just gift cards. Along those lines, baby dishes and flatware will be needed eventually too.

Ask for things that you always need maybe like baby soaps and lotions or something lime that. You can never have enough of that kind of stuff
