For my baby shower I'm asking my child's godmothers parents to cook... they are Puerto rican and make the best Spanish food... so just some rice, beans, chicken, and pork, empanadas.... and then in case anyone is not into Spanish food I'll have some fingertips like sandwiches and chips and a veggie and fruit tray. And of course the cake!
At my baby shower I had lasagna salad and bread. With finger foods and a lot of sweets.
I did chicken salad sandwiches on crossiant, fruit salad, potato salad and deviled eggs. And then cake and cupcakes. Most showers ive gone to they have a ton of finger foods.
1NAMILLION I LIKE UR IDEA
The economical route (my preference. ..more $ left for baby)= spaghetti or lasagna, salads, fruit platters, wing dings, lemonade, punch, water and the cake
The works: candy bar, popcorn/cotton candy, the cake, champagne/wine, soda, water, seafood trays, different variations of croissant sandwiches, fruit trays, veggie trays, green salad, meatballs, chicken salad, pasta salad
Most people like doing finger foods like Pin wheel sandwiches, wing dings, meatballs, fruit and veggie tray for their baby shower. However, my baby shower will be on a Sunday after church. So therefore I decided to do something heavier so that they won't have to think about cooking after. I will be having three different types of Lasagna (traditional, vegetable Alfredo, and turkey). A long with salad, bread, fruit, and of course sweets.
I think it after lol depends on the day you host. Sundays are more laid back than Satturdays.
