irritating sounds

Has anyone else experienced a deep annoyance with sounds. Specially high pitched or repetitive? I work in a machine shop and i tell you.. the sounds that i used to be able to drown out are now like nails on a chalkboard. But I've noticed it at home too. Electrical hums and the whirl of the bathroom fan things like that.. I'm losing my mind! Haha

^ my dog licks and chews herself constantly and it literally kills me. I feel like I am yelling constantly! I absolutely cannot stand it. They are both outside now though due to the baby. No more! Lol
