With my first pregnancy I could not stop. I did cut back to a few a day. As my fisrt born aged he started having developemental disabilities. He was diagnosed with ADHD and ODD when he was in Kinder. I can't help but wonder if the cigarettes where part of the cause.
With my second pregnancy....7 yrs later, I had been trying to quick on and off. When I found out I was pregnant again I had no problem quiting because I watch my oldest struggle everyday of his life. There was no way I was going to be so selfish with my own needs. If you are a visual person, I recommend visiting children that come from parents that smoked during and after pregnancy. This may give you that push that you need to see why you need to overcome your needs for the well being of the life that youare bringing into this world.
I wish you the best of luck.

I was big on smoking cigarettes but for some reason they just started making me really sick. I hated the smell of them everything thing about them than I ended up founding out I was 7 weeks pregnant. The best thing to do as hard as it might seem is to think about your baby and their health i'm pretty sure by the time your 7 weeks they will make you sick. Good luck !

I'd been wanting to quit for a while when I found out I was prego. My little guy was my motivation to finally quit. I cut back day by day and quit within 2 weeks of finding out. Everyone is different, but the only person who can make you quit is you. Stay strong and good luck :)

I was a smoker before i got pregnant and i just knew i didnt want to harm my baby so i quit! If its something you really want to do you can do it! You have to get rid of eveything liters ashtrays packs of ciggs. You also need to distance yourself from other who smoke to avoid the temptations! No smokinhbin the house or car. Drive with thd wwindows up because i know that was the hardest for me bc i smoked most in the car! You just have to put you kind to it and you can do it!

After a good amount of weeks the smell of cigarettes made me feel neasous. I quit cold turkey. But for a lot of people it's a process. Your doctor can give you steps and tools.

It took me a few days. I just told myself with the pack i had thats all i was going to smoke. Just cut down to a few a day. The hardest part was to quit smoking while driving. It is really tough but you can do it.
