back to back.

Just found out that my baby is back to back with me and was told labour can be quite difficult because she's facing the wrong way . Has anyone ever delivered back to back?

Nope no need to turn baby, lots of mums deliver in this position. It's not ideal, back to belly is favourable and some ladies, as previous posters have said, it can cause more back pain but there's no reason why you can't deliver this way. They will monitor baby as normal but everything will be fine :)

So everything is gonna be okay? Did the nurses or midwifes try to turn the baby at all? Cuz I got told that my baby should be turned

I delivered my first back to back, we didn't know he was this way until he crowned. I had no problems pushing, it was quite quick. No complications at all. Best wishes :)

My first was that way. I felt the contest tons mostly in my back. Pushing took a bit longer with him than the others but it was no more difficult or painful.

It's very doable! Had that with my first. I pushed for a long time but part of that was the fact it was my first.

With my second he was back to back. The labour was a little slow and had some extra pain in my lower back which they said is cause by back to back. He came out very fast though no problems pushing. He had th cord around his neck which might be the reason for slow labour.
Try crawling on all fours they say this helps turning baby.
Good luck your labour should be fine, baby will turn or come out eventually
