belly button ring

I'm curious to see when you ladies started taking our your belly button rings. I'm 16 weeks currently and keep an eye on it for any changes. I know some people do it early, and some wait towards the end. Any success stories about the piercing staying open?

I never took mine out with my first and had no problems. Had to take mine out this week though(22wks) as I'm already nearly twice the size I was at the end of my first pregnancy...

With my first I took mine out sometime in the second trimester. I never tried to put it back in. I don't have any stretch marks. I had mine for over 10 years so the holes are still there, but I'm sure they are closed up since its been like 3 years since I took it out. I don't regret having mine pierced, but the thought of baby hands and feet pulling on it kept me from putting it back in. Just a personal choice.

I've had two babies since getting mine and never took it out. I just put in a longer bar toward the end of my pregnancy.  I'm now preggo again 23 week's and still have my belly ring in, when I get bigger I will again replace with a longer bar. Mine still looks great but I've also had mine done since October 1998 :) no stretch Marks so I've never felt the need to take it out.

My sister left hers in while she was pregnant and didn't take it out till the last month I think... after she gave birth she put it back in... it never grew up but she had it for a while before she got pregnant

Id take it out now. I waited and now belly button is disgusting with scars :(

I replaced it with a flexible plastic bar just a little bit longer then the regular rings and still have mine in... I'm 29 weeks and it looks and feels just fine!!!

I didn't take mine out at all with my first pregnancy, and I didn't have any repercussions. This time I took it out when I felt it starting to pull on my skin. I am hoping it doesn't close.

I had mine with my first son and took it out withink the first couple months. I didn't even try to put it back in afterwards. I had gotten stretch marks and even where the belly button ring hole was looked all jacked up andgot stretched. I regret getting it in the firstplace.
