This baby is birth control baby #2 for me. Bf is storing some sperm and getting a little snip snip done after this one.
I took the pill and got pregnant at 16, the very first time I ever had sex, I ended up having a miscarriage because I didn't know I was pregnant and kept taking the pill, that's what my doctor said caused it probably. I ended up getting the nexplanon, and man when they say it only lasts 3 years, they mean it, here I am 3 years later pregnant. At least I'm a little older now and financially stable. And still with the same man for 5 years (: good luck ladys! BTW the nexplanon works while breast feeding too.
Try the 3yr BC that is placed in your arm. When I was on it,it was called Implanon but it has a different name now. I am considering getting back on it.
Breastfeeding is absolutely NOT a form of birth control. You may not get a period, but you still ovulate. This results in eggs that can be fertilized by sperm, leading to a pregnancy.
Huh lol not sure why they blanked that out
My dr recomended the **** but idkvi just eead someone who got pregnant with it so man gota see now
Absolutely no truth at all...I fell pregnant twice while breastfeeding. I wasnt using it as contraception though we weren't on anything for contraception at the time.
I was on depo for three years and gained a whole lot of weight.. then i did the mirena for five years which worked well for me but i got preg on the pill... i have never heard you cant get preg if you breast feed ...any truth to this at all ladies??
You still have some options:
Iud: hormonal vs non-hormonal
Mirena and skyla vs paragard
Mirena is good for 5 yrs and skyla is good for 3 yrs. Problem with skyla is the hormone dose is very low so you tend to have breakthrough bleeding often. I personally would not recommend the paragard due to the fact that this particular Iud tends to migrate out of place quite often. It's something that you would have to have checked often and listen to your body. Because there is no hormones, bleeding tends to be heavier. Because of the heavier bleeding there is an increased risk for expelling the iud. it is good for 10 yrs though.
Another option is the Nexplanon. This is a little rod about 1.5 inches long inserted in the arm in between the two muscles. It's the easiest procedure ever and practically painless. You will have a mild local anesthetic thus feel nothing after that. There are no restrictions with lifting after 3 days. It is good for 3 yrs. Some people have breakthrough bleeding with this but there's a pill they can give you to regulate. Most times for those that are breastfeeding, they have no bleeding on both the Mirena and Nexplanon. The Nexplanon in my opinion is nice because you do not have to worry about correct placement like you would for the iud. Essure (the coils) is a Permanent birth control that is inserted into your fallopian tubes. I do not personally recommend this option. I have seen a plentiful amount of them fail. The depo shot is another option. This is an injection either in your arm or side of your thigh every 3 mos. Some people do well with this others gain a ton of weight. There should be no periods on this either. Just know any time you go on a new hormone your periods will be irregular for 3-4 mos. They regulate once your body adjusts. Breastfeeding usually eliminates this adjustment but not always. Last option is a tubal ligation but again this is a permanent method.
Hope this helps :-)
Also with the Paraguard it to my knowledge does not cause a miscarriage. My first one fell out and we had a surprise baby girl. I can't do the natural charting as I do not have the time or patience for it. So the 10 yr paraguard works for us. We had it removed and we actually planned this pregnancy. Our previous 2 were surprises and we couldn't be happier.
Copper IUD. No hormones, don't have to think about it.
I use the paragard for 6 years it is good for ten years and is non hormonal. It did not affect my cycle I still came on my period every month and it still lasted for 3-4 days. I had mine checked every year at my annual to make sure it was still in place. They say some women can feel the strings but my hands are small.
Here's one for you me and my fiance were using condoms anytime we had sex and I was on the pill and I'm now 33 weeks pregnant
The pill is the worst reliable method of contraception in my opinion, having the coil inserted probably the most reliable method i think plus it lasts 5, years and i never had a period with it which is perfectly normal its great and id definetly reccommend it..i think you have to wait til your 6 week check up though to have it inserted
You soooo CAN get pregnant while breastfeeding I did twice it is not a birth control at all. I ended up getting a mirena iud inserted, it was great we had no problems with it and when we were ready to try again I got it out and we were preggers within that first cycle.
I totally agree with Josh... natural family planning is great! Totally benefits your marriage, you're body and it's totally organic ;) message me if you want more info!
You can try IUD. It's a lite T inserted at doctors office in to your v.... it's good for 5 or 10 years. You can take out anytime you end up wanting more kids.
You can get pregnant when breastfeeding, fyi. Do some research on it. It's not quite as soundproof as you'd think. My husband and I use Natural Family Planning: a combination of the rhythm method, basal body temperature, and cervix changes. It's never failed us. We didn't get pregnant when we were avoiding it, and became pregnant in one cycle when we wanted.
The best part about these methods is that, when used properly, they're just about as effective as birth control. Also, you get to know your body really well. Literally, I can tell when I'm ovulating just from the changes in my body.
BUT, they're a lot of work, and if you're not diligent, you'll likely get pregnant. They require lots of communication with your partner, need lots of research to be done properly, and the willingness to chart and listen to your body every day.
However, we've found it's totally worth the efoort. It makes you closer with your partner, and allows you to have sex unhindered. Plus, it's free! All of the women in my family have major adverse reactions to contraceptives, and the more we learned about them, the more we also decided we couldn't use them for religious reasons. So, we've found the hassle is totally worth the benefits.
Sorry for the novel. Just wanted to share my experience. :)
Yea he said somethin about getting fixed XD i would be fine with that but we arnt sure if we want another or not yet so i wouldnt want him getting somethin permanat for a few years... plus we r both to young that drs around here wont fix you till your like 25 or older or have 2 or more kids :/
Than maybe ur hubby or SO should think about it.... there is birth control for men as well, that way you can breastfeed and not worry about getting pregnant
*shot...not pill...sorry.
I also dont trust pills since i got prego while taking them faithfully. I met a young woman who got pregnant on the 5 year deppo shot..she was 3 years into the pill. Talk to your doctor or conduct your own research online..best wishes.
I knew that but i really dnt wanna get prego agin... ever and if i do atleast not right away
