bleeding???

I'm almost 7 weeks along and started bleeding last night. It wasn't very heavy and it was reddish - pinkish. I called my hospital's nurse on call and all they did was make an appointment with my primary care for today... I was so stressed/panicking that I would probably went along with anything, but this morning I started thinking about it and I'm a high risk pregnancy. Shouldn't I have been seen sooner if at all possible?

So I've been waiting at the doctors office for 2 hours (when my appt was supposed to be) and I'm starting to hurt badly... still not getting in. I'm one worried lady.

How would you describe that spotting? I am presumably 7-8 weeks pregnant and today I got this bleed like I  get on the first day on mu period, I panicked  put the tampon in however mu mom advised my to use a panty liner instead to see exactly what comes out. The tampon was a bit bloody, nothing too major and now there's no mark on liner itself as of yet. I have my first doctors appointment on Friday after I received  positive test response. I'm freaking out a bit..

With my last miscarriage I was 7wks exactly and in the beginning I only bled lightly too then it got heavier when I actually lost bubs. The docs told me that the reason they did not rush me in was because before 12wks with miscarriage if it is going to happen it will and there is nothing they or we can do I was mortified, I hope that its not a miscarriage for you and it is something else but if it is just remember this that "all women in their reproductive life will have at least 1 miscarriage and then go on to have a healthy pregnancy straight after". I didn't believe it at first but 5mths later I fell pregnant again and am now 20wks along. Be Strong and keep us all posted hope to hear some good news from you

Thank you both! I'm sure I'd have much more peace of mind if I had gone to the ER... Luckily I'll be seen soon.

And yes. You can always go to the ER. They'll do labs, an exam and an ultrasound.

I'm sure your very stressed. I think they look at all your symptoms and decide what to do.  If you're not cramping and bleeding heavily that's why they put you in with your pcp for today. The unfortunate thing is if there is an issue there's not really anything to be done at this early stage of pregnancy.  That being said- lots of women have spotting in pregnancy and there's no issue. Try to relax and just take it one step at a time.

You should probably go to the Er if your having any heavy bleeding or cramping this early on. They will take you in right away.. Because docs office has so many appointments and is on a strict schedule, all they can really do is set an appointment.
