I just realized I didn't quite answer the question. If my memory serves correct, the contractions felt like light period cramping. And with time, intensified in pain. By the time I was fully dilated, I was begging the doctor to just give me a c- section so the pain would stop. I have vaginal delivery, was able to push him out in 20 minutes.
The hospital induced me at my first pregnancy because I didn't have enough amniotic fluid to carry my 9 pound baby (I was a day over my due date). During the check up, they told me I was having contractions, not Braxton hicks, legit actual labor contractions. I said, "oh. Is that what that feeling was? I thought it was just third trimester symptoms." I'm hoping I'll be more aware this time around. Just like kmuhree, I tend to ignore the pain.
Why correct her spelling and not answer her question? She obviously spelled it right the second time.
Anyways, i started feeling the Braxton Hicks contractions around week 27. But it is different for everyone. They come sporadically, and usually go away if you change positions. Everyone says you will know when it's real. So I'm hoping I do,because I normally ignore the pain.
Yes my phone likes to guess and it spells stuff wrong. Braxton Hicks
