I'm looking into breastfeeding but everything I look up it is just telling me the perks of it but I cannot find the cons of it? Do u have any experience? What is the bad points of breastfeeding? If you have no experience have you read anything or been told? I know very little about breastfeeding so any help is appreciated

Yes you can pump. It's called exclusively pumping. Look it up and you'll find some more info on it.  It is a lot more time consuming, I am doing it again for this baby. I tried to breast feed my first and after a ton of trouble I ended up having to pump because my son was just not latching on right, even after 3 months of trying! So I pumped instead and did the same with my second and will be doing the same with my third. Like I said it is a lot more time consuming and takes a lot of commitment.

It seems you have a lot if questions you should talk to your doctor or find a breast feeding class. And uhh no you cannot drink alcohol while you breast feed.. everything you consume goes through your milk to your baby.

I loved breastfeeding my first two. It was so much easier than buying formula and cleaning bottles plus it's ideal for the baby. The downside I guess would be that no one can feed the baby for you and society is still not cool with breastfeeding in public even if you are covered. That and some women like to drink alcohol, smoke etc. And breastfeeding is kinda like being pregnant in that sense. Overall I would say the only negatives are that it can be painful at times but you have to try it to know if the cons are really cons at all. If it's your first time, expect a learning curve. Give yourself time before giving up. Good luck!

You should definitely talk to your doctor or even get in touch with your local le leche league to answer all your questions (just Google it). You can formula feed and breast feed but a lot if times baby won't want the breast milk anymore from what I've heard if you do that. and you can pump and save the milk but either way you'd have to pump quite often to have enough for what baby needs on a daily basis. And as far as alcohol there there are guidelines and timelines to ffollow fir a by to be safe. Same as with your diet... like I said, contact your local 'Le Leche League' or talk to your doctor to answer all your questions.

I formula fed my first and will with this one, due to medical reasons. My first rarely got sick and never got sick before she started daycare at 10 month's. So it still has all the nutrients they need, breast milk just has extra nutrients in it and it even helps with losing baby weight and getting your uterus back to normal by causing contractions so that's kind of a pro and a con. Also you'll have to wear nursing pads in your bra bc your boobs will leak. Honestly even with the cons for myself I still wish I was able to breast feed just bc of the benefits for baby, But I know that formula is just fine and she will still be a healthy happy baby.

Can you breastfeed without actually breastfeeding?  Like pump the milk and give it to baby through a bottle? Will that even work,  can you breastfeed feed and formula feed? Does my diet need to change if I breastfeed like can I just eat normal? What about alochol do you still not touch it if ur breastfeeding and does it always hurt or does it go away

Sometimes it's hard to get the baby to latch on at first, some women get sore nipples..umm..I guess you have to be willing to sit and breastfeed or pump and you can't use drugs or alcohol then go feed baby the tainted milk...it's hard to think of bad things about breast feeding..

Well there are no cons as far as baby is concerned. But for you, expect cracked bleeding nipples, engorged sore boobs, and constant feedings bc baby does feed a lot  more often when breast feeding, so it is a huge commitment on your part. But it us definitely extremely beneficial for baby to breast feed but ultimately it is up to you. Formula fed babies can also be very healthy.
