breastfeeding

so I posted a question on the breastfeeding forum two days ago but no one answered.  I am having trouble breastfeeding specifically latchinghow can I make her open her mouth bigger? I've seen a couple of videos and they''ve helped a little.  head tilted back chin to my breast...sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't...it is so time consuming.  I gave her expressed milk two nights ago but she swallowed it so fast because of the bottles flow I felt bad for her.  I guess I need to vent lack of sleep does not help either I know this shall pass...two days ago I was crying and ready to quit baby is 11 days old

My baby wouldn't open her mouth wide either I've been to a LC and watched videos. They say try rubbing your nipple on her nose or top lip so she opens wider or try rubbing on the bottom lip. Nothing really worked for her but now that she is older she opens wide shes 3 1/2 months now and I've been exclusively breastfeeding

definitely a lactation consultant would help. I am seeking help.  I just tried the football hold and didn't feel a thing!  thanks ladies.

Try to hold baby in the football position.   Also I hear if you try to use a nb soother it will help her figure out how to  wrap the tongue and that can help.  Good luck.  Call your ob or planned family community centre.  They can help point you in the right direction for free breastfeeding advice.  They will be there to help hands on unlike just reading about options.

Try getting a hold of a lactation consular, she may be able to help and give you more support and tips.
