brown discharge at 31 weeks?

31 weeks + 6 days and I wiped after using the bathroom and there's brown discharge.  Kind if like the last day of your period.  Have been experiencing some weird sharp like pains in my vagina,  but further up. No infection.  I see my Ob Thursday,  but I was just wondering,  anyone else had this?

I believe your cervix may be openining which would be risk for premature labor. Call your obgyn and have an internal exam asap to rule this out. I had the same thing and felt sharp pains high up in the vagina. It surely was my cervjx opening and that was the only time i ever seen what looked like blood.. brown being blood that had time for air to change its color. Hope all is well. Air on the side of caution this early.

Hello, thank you for your reply. This is my third pregnancy,  even knowing every pregnancy is different.  I'm not new to contractions nor BH.  & with my second my MP was yellow, hard kinda like snot.. (eww tmi I do apologize ) I just have never had the brown discharge,  nor vag. Pains. Just was wondering if any one else, this late in pregnancy has went through it. But thank you very much for your answer

I would call your doctor and ask if you need to be seen sooner. This sounds like you are possibly losing your mucus plug. If the pain is really bad it may be a contraction or just Braxton hicks contractions which aren't serious. I wouldn't worry about this until you have a chance to talk to your OBGYN tho. If the pain does get bad, I would go to the hospital just in case. Remember not to panic, in any case you're totally fine. I hope you found this helpful
