I know the feeling. Use a pad so not to stain your pants as that's what I had to do. Mine has got a lot less now but I am 29 weeks now with baby number 3. But congratulations on your pregnancy and I wish you luck

At four weeks, it's most likely implantation bleeding. The other possible explanation is sub chorionic hemorrhage which is a clot between the uterus and 'placenta' (the placenta hasn't formed yet, but the beginnings have started and it will eventually be a placenta).
Usually with a sch, you'll see cramping and bleeding for several days and it's usually frank blood. Even still, once a heart beat is established, the new research has shown it doesn't really effect your rates of miscarriage all that much. Your ob still may put you on pelvic rest which will mean no orgasms, no heavy lifting, no strenuous activity, lots of rest, etc. until the bleed has resolved or you make it to 20 weeks.
I know it's all very scary, but I'd bet it is only implantation bleeding.

Hi,

Congrats on getting positive, worry and stress makes things worst, just relax... And try to meditate, though spotting is common in some pregnancies. I too had spotting, but baby was fine.. there is nothing you or gynaecologist can do in early pregnancy to stop spotting,  so relax..

No need to test again. Relax..breate. i know its hard. I was there just 8months ago myself! I had brownish bleeding that transitioned to the heaviest period i ever had for 14weeks straight non stop all i did was cry thinking i lost my baby everyday i saw blood. but ya know what? Im due to have my babygirl in 2weeks! It stopped a little into my 2nd trimester. I had a hemotoma in there. As baby got bigger she put pressure on it which made the bleeding stop. I had no cramping or pains with this spotting and heaving bleeding. I have had 3 miscarriages in the past one being ectopic and needing surgery to remove a ruptured tube. You will have some pain and discomfort when loosing a pregnancy. But it takes days to over a week for the HCG to return to undetecable levels so you will still get a positive shortly after loosing a baby. Rest..drink fluids.. take prenatals. And let ur OBGYN let u know whats going on at ur first appt. They cant see embryo on ultrasound until after week6 bt you can request HCG series blood work to see if its trending up or down. Up is good. If u have any sharp pains on one side of your abdomen go to ER. Best of luck mama there is definatly hope! I didnt think so either.

The same thing happened to me yesterday and the day before. Just a small amount first thing in the morning both days. As I didnt have an OBGYN yet and I was also having cramping, my PCP sent me to the ER to be checked out. All is well but I am on pelvic rest until further notice. I would recommend letting your doctor know what it going on and go from there.

Hi, I have 2 beautiful boys and 9 weeks into my 3rd pregnancy! I spotted with both my other childen in the 1st trimester! No big deal! Then I was 6 weeks into this pregnancy and I started spotting! I assumed it was no big deal like the others! The next week I seen my Doctor and he ordered a ultra sound! Turns out I had ripped a piece of my Placentia from my uterus wall! Now I'm on bed rest for time being!! Definitely get ahold of your doctor about the bleeding! I learned the hard way it's nothing to mess around with!! Sorry I'm not trying to scare you so don't freak out yet, just giving you a situation to think about, it's rare but it does happen!
