I had a 2 door car for years with my son. Except that with the baby's car seat there wasn't enough clearance to take it out of the base. We ended up getting an suv which the only thing i hate is that its not a manual
My son is 3 and I just got a 4 door car a month ago!! It was a pain on the butt with the infant car seat but when he switched to front facing it wasn't to bad it's manageable but love having a 4 door now
Yes I love my car and its great on gas and the back seat has so much room and its amazing. But I just wanted to see if it is ok and manageable to be a mom with a 2dr car. Thanks ladies
I have a scion tc and it's 2 door. Had it from before my first son was born. Now our second boy is due in 19 days. It's worked for us so far but we plan on getting an suv soon. But for now it will do. I like it cause my toddler can't mess with doors or windows.
I gave s Scion TC and there is a lot of room. Mine is a 2013. The older ones aren't as big.
Also, don't know of it matters to you (it might, since you both seem to have sporty cars) but I was so happy I could get the Mazda6 in a manual transmission! We've never had automatic cars so I really wanted to stick with a stick.
Shyease that's exactly what happened with us lol. My hubby loves his car too. We ended up trading my car in for a Mazda6 iTouring. Its really nice (not too mom-ish lol) and my hubby actually likes driving it too. Best part - the backseat is huge you could easily fit two car seats or one in the middle and an adult on either side.
I knw my boyfriend won't bite the bullet he loves his car! We both have small cars he has a BMW coupe and I a scion tc. So I just might have to get something else.
It depends on the car. I had a Nissan Altima coupe and my hubby has an Infiniti G35 (both smaller two door cars) his car is actually smaller than mine but his seats move forward more so we were able to get a carseat in and out of his car but not mine. However in his car if the carseat were in the back it'd have to go behind the passenger seat (there is no middle seat) and the seat has to be so far forward that you can't have anyone sitting in the passenger seat. We ended up biting the bullet and trading my car in for a 4 door.
My friend had a two door car and when she had her baby it kinda just annoyed her to have to get her out the back all the time but you can make do for the mean time unless you really start to hate it
