chest infection a week before baby's due date!

So, my little one is due this Thursday (23rd) and out of nowhere I have developed a horrible chest and ear infection. Decided to visit my GP who prescribed a rather large dose of antibiotics hoping the infection will clear up before labour starts.
Has anyone been in a similar situation with either current or previous pregnancies?
I was really looking forward to meeting my bundle of joy but I am now scared of how I will cope during labour. More importantly, I wonder how my poor little bubba is coping in there, with his mummy coughing away like this :( I just hope it doesn't affect him. x

I got sick when I had my first..it was the coughing that was the worse part because I ended up having a c-section and they cut thru the abdominal muscles so coughing with that incision was awful :(:(:(..i never had antibiotics to help tho so hopefully those help and you'll be all better when baby comes :):)

I'm going through the same thing right now... Haven't been sick the entire pregnancy and now I'm 37 weeks and have a horrible cough and chest infection. My ears aren't infected, just draining like crazy. Sleeping really is impossible coughing like this and I'm miserable! Makes me want her out even more but I'm scared for her to come while I'm sick like this.
