When my son was born in 2011 I was quoted $425 out of pocket if we chose to have the procedure done and it was not an option to have it done in the birthing center where he was born but would be done instead at a doctor's office nearby. It wasn't covered by my insurance because it's elective and cosmetic.
My insurance covered it with just our co pay at the doctors office.
Im in Ontario Canada and it went up to $320 i know cause I prepaid for may
$150 to cut half your sons penis off. The crap we pay for here in the U.S.
I've never heard of it costing more than $150 if you get it done before you are discharged from the hospital. You should contact the hospital you'll be delivering at to find out for sure. And as far as i know, insurance doesn't cover it because it is cosmetic and not required.
I'm in va and there's a law here that makes getting boys circumcised free. I don't remember what its called but if we have a boy we won't have to pay anything
Ashleigh I am in minnesota too
I called and checked with my insurance. They cover it completely as long as it it's done before we are discharged from the hospital :)
I live in Minnesota and for my son it will be $150 at the hospital and if at the clinic after it would be $350. It isn't normally covered by insurance because it considered "cosmetic"
Our insurance won't cover it but the hospital we are delivering at will do it at a greatly reduced price if we pay for it before delivery. It is going to cost us $150 instead of the usual $500.
I'm having a lil boy in march an I live in Springfield mo it cost $500
