cold cuts while pregnant

They said cold cuts, hot dogs or prepared foods aren't good for you while pregnant.  Did anyone else hear that?

Went to the doctor today, my ARNP, and my mom whos a DNP said lunch meat is fine, as long as its a good brand, like boars head and its fully cooked. Roast beef would be off the mene though. (;

You just have to cook them. Listeria is in most of the lunch meats and hot dogs. And it's usually always there, just can affect a pregnant woman differently. Can go to the placenta and harm he baby. So they say just to cook it :)
