I am 24wks and had a cold sore a cpl wks ago, my Dr told me any over the counter med is safe, and Abreva is the best to use. I just bought the store brand that has all the same things in it, and it worked in like 3 days

I use Zovirax.  It's a cream prescription that works very well. But I've also got cold sores my whole life. They also have over the counter creams for cold sores.
