Epidurals cause me to violently vomit through labor and delivery. It also takes me up to 12 hours to recover. I have also had terrible migraines since my second.
I delivered babies 3 and 4 naturally and I'm so glad I did. Epidurals cause labor and delivery to drag out and last longer. If you learn not to fight the process and relax through it, it isn't that bad. My broken femur hurt worse.

I had an epidural with my son 7 years ago. I never had a problem, but everyone will react different. I'm due November 20th and I'm having another epidural. Do what you think is best for you. Good luck :)

It's probably best to do what makes you the most comfortable. Don't feel bad if you have to do it. I've had friends who have had epidurals and I've never heard them complain about pain after the fact. I'm sure it is much better for your body to do it as naturally as possible, but I don't think you should go without it unless you are sure. I do not plan on getting one, but I also am having a midwife to help me through the pain and I'm considering getting a doula to help as well.

Everyone's experience is different. I wouldn't listen to what everyone says. Do what is comfortable for you. I am having my second baby and had an epidural with my first. I ended up needing a cesarean so I would have had to have one anyway. But absolutely no regrets. I had the best experience from start to finish.

I seen people saying on this that since they've got the epidural they've always been getting bad back pain ever since, I'm the very same as you I don't know what to do after hearing what people say but I know I won't be able to handle the pain myself lol
