just a rant

So today I got a letter from my health coverage, letting me know that the doctor I have been seeing my entire pregnancy is no longer cover under their network. I don't even know how to feel since I am about to be 36 weeks on Sunday. I am suppose to go for a check up on Monday but now I have to cancel that since I can't afford paying out of pocket for he visit. And I have to call and see who else will take me this far along. It's not like I had a great relationship with the doctor, but I was used to her already and I explained my birth plan to her and even though she didn't seem to completely understand my reasons, she also didn't push anything. She said that she was going to be as supportive as she could and try to stick to my plan as much as she could unless otherwise necessary. Now that's not going to happen. My son could come any day now and I'm basically stuck without a doctor. I don't even know how to feel. I hope something works out. Thank you ladies if you took the time to read this. God bless!

I don't know who you have for insurance but the samething happen to me but my insurance has Continuety of Care and I was able to apply for my out of network dr to continue to see me with in network benefits since I was pregnant. You might want to call and see if they have anything special since you are pregnant.

So I got the whole insurance figure out ladies. After calling everywhere and finally finding a new doctor that would take me this far along in my pregnancy, it turned out that the receptionist in my doctor's office forgot to fill out and send the renewal with the type of insurance I have. So basically after stressing the whole weekend, I'm staying with the same doctor. I confirmed it with the doctor's office and with the insurance company. It makes me feel better because even though she is not the best doctor, at least I know her and she knows me. Thank you all for your kind words! God bless you! :)

You know sometimes things happen for a reason, try to look at the positive side, what I like to call "a blessing in disguise". I know that at the beginning we don't see it do we need to take a step back, take a deep breath, and say ...ok God, what do you want me to see that I'm not seeing (lol). Like you said she didn't really get your birthing plans, maybe now you will find someone who will be onboard with you! How exciting! (Trying to be positive here) Remember we are never given more than we can handle and these experiences make us stronger...in the long run?! ...anyways I have a feeling you will be fine, for someone who knows what she wants I'm pretty sure you'll know how to get it. Good luck, God bless, and here's hoping all works itself out, keep us posted as I know this will be a blessing in disguise ;)

Call your insurance and find out who is in network and covered. Then look up the doctors and reviews online. You will find a doctor, now you just have homework this weekend. Please keep us posted. I'm hoping you get a dr that you like better than previous one. My husband just hadto switch and he's very particular, but we are having a good experience.
