contractions.

Okay, so Iv had atleast five contractions in the last hour and a half, about 8-10 minutes apart.... but they I haven't had one in about 20 minutes.... can it be the start of labor???? I'm 38 weeks!

If it stops, it's not the real thing.

They went away for about 20 minutes, came back & Iv had about 4 , 6 minutes apart. & one just happened 3 minutes after my last one.

That's false labor. Just keep timing them when they come back. If they go away with rest, shower or other change in activity then its probably not time yet. You're getting ready though.

I live like 30 minutes away from the hospital I'll be delivering at :( I don't wanna take an unnecessary trip... but they were consistent for about an hour and a half but all of a sudden just stopped once I started doing.something

its possible only one of my kids so far started labor on thwir own it was a steady thing... but quite possibly if it keeps going just take a trip to the hospital and they can tell you for sure if you are good luck. and possibly get prepared to hold and love your little blessing

Could be the start but if they space out or go away its usually false labor. Keep timing them.
